What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain strong media and influencer relationships to generate coverage for clients
- Manage projects from concept through execution, tracking competitors and identifying opportunities
- Generate and edit various communications materials, including press releases and award submissions
- Participate in new business processes and networking events while mentoring junior staff
- Set quarterly goals with management to track personal and professional growth
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3-5 years of experience in a communications or marketing role, preferably at an agency or startup
- Proven ability to build and maintain media relationships
- Strong writing skills with the ability to generate diverse communications materials
- Experience managing projects and providing counsel on media opportunities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with social media influencer engagement and measuring ROI of communications activities
- Previous experience in technology public relations
- Established connections with key media contacts in the industry
- Demonstrated creativity in developing PR campaigns and strategies
- Experience in mentoring or coaching junior staff
