What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage media/influencer relations and proactively pitch stories to key media contacts
- Oversee client service and project management from concept through execution
- Generate and edit various communications materials, including press releases and campaign plans
- Participate in new business processes, including research and presenting at pitches
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within an agency or startup environment
- Proven ability to build relationships with key media and influencers
- Strong writing proficiency for a variety of communications materials
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Experience with social media engagement and measuring ROI of communications activities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Established network of media contacts in the tech industry
- Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns
- Familiarity with PR campaign development and execution
- Participation in networking events and industry conferences
- Demonstrated success in mentoring or coaching junior staff
