This role can be based in NYC, Seattle or Los Angeles. Do you want to help inform the future of Prime Video Channels? We seek a Business Intelligence Engineer to focus on building world class processes around designing, collecting, organizing, and presenting data for our subscription business.
As a BI Engineer working on the PV Commerce Analytics team, you will be working closely with Product Managers, Marketing Managers, Content Acquisitions Managers, Finance Managers and other internal stakeholders to drive analytics that are timely, accurate, and actionable. A successful candidate knows and loves working with BI tools, is comfortable accessing and working with data from multiple sources, and can partner with internal stakeholders to help drive the business.
Key job responsibilities
- Collect, analyze and present actionable data for Prime Video Channels Business
- Understand high-level business objectives and continually align work with those objectives to meet needs of the business
- Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data
- Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know when, how, and which to use, and which not to use
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
