As report writer, you will work within the interpretation and reporting team of the GeoSciences Department of the company. As part of a dynamic team of geologists, geographers, and hydrographers, your main task will be to analyse and interpret geophysical and geotechnical datasets and set up the results reports for the client.
You will be able to work on various projects for the installation of cable/pipeline/offshore windfarm, UXO or inspection surveys, etc. As report writer, you are responsible to present all results in a clearly structured, well-written final report, accompanied with comprehensible and neat figures, with an eye for detail and design. The latter should be done according to the standardized reporting templates within the company style guide.
The report writer is in control of performing the quality checks and revisions of the reports, ensuring the reports meet both company’s and client’s requirements. Over the course of the projects, you will liaise and attend meetings with the Project Data Coordinator, the Reporting Coordinator and the reporting team.

Company policies & emergency procedures and location of relevant documentations are known and followed.
Apply safe working practices and personal shipboard safety procedures.
Follow safety instructions & use appropriate safety equipment such as PPE & safety aids.
Recognize a potential or actual emergency situation and report it appropriately.
Undertake risk assessments in the workplace and encourage safety awareness amongst less experienced personnel.
Apply and implement company QHSE procedures including incident reporting, registration & investigation.
Take an active role in QHSE awareness and culture, initiate actions where needed, and lead by example.
What do we expect from you?
You have a Master’s degree in Geoscience or equivalent experience.
Experience in geophysics or a strong understanding of geophysical and geotechnical survey principles is a plus.
Excellent written and spoken English (minimum B2 level).
Proficiency in MS Office.
Knowledge of GIS software (QGIS, Global Mapper) and design tools (CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Grapher) is a plus, but training can be provided.
You have analytical thinking skills.
You have strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with people at all levels.
You have an eye for detail.
