Associate Media Director, Connections Strategy

Hungry, curious, growing and never satisfied. That's Fitzco, a fully-integrated agency with combined capabilities across advertising, strategic and comms planning, media, digital, social, creative technology, performance marketing and design. Throughout our 40-year history, it's never been about a proprietary method or house style; it's about working hard to speak with people across culture in ways they wish to be spoken to, or as we call it, cultural fluency.

In this role, you'll flex your media skills towards clients' unique business needs and the culture their consumers live within. You bring expertise across all media channels, the ability to identify opportunities and the confidence to work with clients toward innovative solutions. You are excited about the ever-changing media landscape and are well-versed in the technical and operational requirements to drive performance. You might be a media nerd at heart, but you also recognize the power of media and creative coming together to deliver incremental impact in key moments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Kick the tires on the brief and build the strategic approach
    • Lead the development of cross-channel media strategies for both traditional and digital channels (linear TV, radio, digital, social, programmatic, CTV, OOH, etc.)
    • Analyze competitive landscape, consumer insights, historical performance and develop rationale for media plan recommendations and strategic use of channels
    • Leverage research tools and various inputs to drive thoughtful plans that will deliver against client objectives
    • Rely on insight mining and consumer journey mapping to connect the brief to the tactical plan
    • Evaluate media proposals and provide POVs on your client's behalf

  • Orchestrate the plan coming to life

      • Working with Adops to oversee trafficking of campaigns and formulate measurement plans
      • Monitoring campaign deliveries and suggesting optimizations based on campaign KPI performance
      • Monitoring client expenditures and resolving billing discrepancies
    • Be an advocate in evolving our approach with everything from simple process and communication improvements to thinking about how we elevate and streamline the team's work through technology, partners, etc.

  • Tell our story
    • Be the main media point of contact for clients, representing multiple POVs from planning, activation, and analytics teams
    • Present recommendations to clients and internal teams with the ability to change the narrative to connect to each audience and enable decision making (an internal account person vs. day to day client vs. client CMO)
  • Identify emerging trends in the industry and how to harness them to drive our clients' business forward
  • Encourage and drive integration with internal partners (Strategy, Account, Creative, Project Management) to ensure full alignment
  • Partner with Analytics to establish a measurement framework for your plans that ladders up to the clients' objectives
  • Work across clients to ensure consistency in the way approach planning and execution
  • Actively merchandise wins/learnings across the agency and clients
  • Contribute to ongoing new business efforts

  • Help grow your team to be strategic client partners
    • Manage and develop 3-4 planners through goal setting, 1 on 1s, training, etc.
    • Contribute to the vision for the department and instill throughout the team
    • Effectively switching priority of tasks daily between clients
