About this opportunity: At Freenome, we are seeking a Director of Product Marketing to join our commercial team. In this strategic role, you will be instrumental in helping us launch our first product and driving adoption in the clinic. In collaboration with others in the team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies and tactics that resonate with our customers - health care providers, their staff, and their patients. Your work will be critical for both Freenome’s near- and long-term success as you will play an important role in ensuring our customers are aware, educated, and informed about our products and services. The role reports to the Senior Director, Market Insights and Planning. This role will be a Hybrid role based in our Brisbane, California headquarters (2-3 days per week in office). What you’ll do: Craft and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that communicate the value proposition of our products and solutions to our target customers and differentiate us in the marketplace. Leverage existing, and where necessary conduct new, market and customer research to define customer segments and personas, and ensure messaging, creative and tactics are maximized for impact. Deliver marketing content, materials, and tools to support the launch of Freenome’s future cancer screening blood tests. Develop and execute campaigns to reach well-defined audiences through the appropriate mix of channels, including personal and non-personal. Analyze market trends and campaign performance data to refine marketing strategies and drive future product growth. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure a successful launch, including with our regulatory affairs team on FDA submissions, our product team on defining patient journeys, and our market development and sales teams as they engage directly with customers. Partner with and manage our external creative agencies to deliver compelling and differentiated campaigns. Must haves: Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field; MBA strongly preferred. 10 years of prior relevant experience in product marketing role preferably within the diagnostics and/or healthcare industry. Experience marketing to providers, ideally with a focus on primary care, preventative health, and/or oncology. Familiarity with in vitro diagnostic devices and/or centralized laboratory developed tests. Deep understanding of diagnostics and healthcare technology markets. Exceptional storyteller and communicator capable of explaining complex clinical concepts in simple terms. Strong cross-functional leadership skills with proven experience managing complex projects through influence. Entrepreneurial mindset: self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, strong problem-solving and time-management skills. Nice to haves: Experience launching an In Vitro Diagnostic device for use by clinicians. Prior experience in a high-growth healthcare or biotech environment bringing their first product to market. Experience with CRM and digital marketing tools to enhance customer engagement. Benefits and additional information: The US target range of our base salary/hourly rate for new hires is $197,200 - $304,000. You will also be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.
