RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to Design Manager of Footwear and Gear assuring Design Language, Branding, and Function are consistent and impactful. Contribute to create a new vision for the footwear category in the tactical professional markets Contribute to develop new, emerging concepts. Research markets, trends and materials in order to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the footwear category Individual must possess the ability to take direction and expound upon the idea to design and present concepts for footwear and overall design direction through material, trim, branding & color Have the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment, to resolve challenges alongside Product Development and Product Management team to meet deadlines Sustain effective partnerships with Product Management and Product Development to ensure design integrity is met during the product creation process Assures the product meets corporate standards for quality Develops the product to meet price and sourcing strategies outlined Keeps internal team updated on the status throughout the design process Ensures that timelines are maintained for development of products Understanding of broader design trends across multiple categories and disciplines Some domestic & international travel required QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree in Design, Industrial Design is a plus, from an accredited University Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the footwear industry Footwear manufacturing process, knowledge, experience, and time in factories & sample rooms Strong understanding of footwear patterns, lasts, and materials Ability to express concepts and ideas through hand sketching, prototyping, and software Excellent working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and AI rendering platforms Experience with 3D design in Solids or Nurbs format a strong plus Understanding of North American and EU Footwear certifications Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDM / PLM software Strong team-oriented individual with the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities in a diverse group of people and personalities Strong time management skills with the ability to manage workflow across multiple seasons and consistently meet deadlines Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

Pay Range : $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus
