Terrific Communications Officer position with a highly regarded nonprofit foundation focused on improving healthcare for older adults. The Communications Officer will be an integral member of a highly collaborative team. The role will focus heavily on crafting written editorial materials for the organization including blogs, op-eds, digital communications, and other forms of written media. The Officer position will also work closely with external partners and grantee organizations on the production and dissemination of strategic communication materials. Candidates should have experience with healthcare related communications and excellent written communication skills. Qualified candidates will have 5-7+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree is preferred. The salary range is $120,000 to $140,000 per year, based on experience. This position operates on a hybrid schedule in New York City. Responsibilities:

Collaborate in the creation and implementation of the organization's communication strategy

Create, edit, and proof written materials, digital communications Oversee content development by team members, consultants, and other external vendors; assist in editing and proofing Work with foundation staff to edit presentations Support grantees by providing strategic communications support for initiatives, events, reports, and other materials Assist with quality improvement and analytics for the communications team Qualifications:

5-7+ of years relevant experience; experience in healthcare communications with a related organization Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Excellent communication and writing skills Ability to work in a highly collaborative organization Experience with a wide variety of written materials including blogs, op-eds, digital communications, and ghost writing for organization staff and leadership Willingness to travel as needed to meet with grantee organizations and for professional development Experience with Trello and Canva a plus
