We are looking for a detail-oriented Podcast Editor to produce high-quality podcast episodes that align with our clients' goals and standards. As a key team member, you will manage the end-to-end editing process, ensuring clear communication, consistent quality, and timely delivery. Your expertise in audio editing and project management will help bring engaging stories to life and enhance our clients' podcast presence.
This role is perfect for a creative and technically skilled editor who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in crafting seamless, professional audio experiences.
File Management
- Receive audio or video files from clients and organize them in StreamLabs.
- Create new project folders as needed and upload raw content for processing.
- Review and edit audio to remove errors, pauses, background noise, and unnecessary segments.
- Add intros, outros, and other elements to enhance the quality of each episode.
- Ensure audio clarity and fix technical issues using editing software.
Transcript & Show Notes Creation
- Use StreamLabs and Villa AI Tools to generate, review, and refine transcripts.
- Develop engaging show notes, ensuring they reflect the episode’s content and align with the client’s brand voice.
- Identify and create engaging promo clips (3-4 per episode).
- Brand each clip according to client templates, including subtitles and visual elements.
- Export and organize clips for delivery.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct a final review of audio and promotional materials before submission.
- Collaborate with the project manager to incorporate client feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
Project Management
- Maintain organization within client folders and manage timelines for multiple projects.
- Communicate updates and status reports with team members and clients.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Listen attentively to raw files, ensuring accuracy and alignment with provided transcripts.
- Edit audio using tools like StreamLabs or other preferred software.
- Generate and review promotional content.
- Upload completed files to the appropriate client folders.
- Collaborate with the project manager and respond to client feedback promptly..
- Part-Time to Full-Time, up to 15-30 hours per week depending on workload.
- Flexible scheduling, with an emphasis on meeting client deadlines
The ideal candidate possess the following strengths and skills:
Experience:
- 3+ years of podcast or audio editing experience.
- Familiarity with tools like StreamLabs, Descript, or Adobe Audition.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in audio editing, quality control, and noise reduction.
- Knowledge of transcription and promo content generation tools.
Soft Skills:
