Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is driving growth for strategic supply partners. Additional responsibility includes supporting strategic activity by the Business Manager related to supplier relations and overall financial governance of the assigned business.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect an appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
- Strategic Responsibilities
- Manage pipeline process with both sellers and strategic suppliers.
- Execute a growth strategy aligned with a supplier or end market, supporting the commercial team on share expansion at existing customers as well as new customer acquisitions.
- Deliver results as an expert in product positioning and consultative selling to achieve Bamberger Amco objectives.
- Organize and lead training sessions on new product rollouts or strategic focus areas.
- Joint travel with supplier partners to develop target accounts and improve supplier relations.
- Assist the Business Development Manager in developing an overall business strategy and plan.
- Essential Functions
- Assist field sales in identifying and closing target opportunities which will generate organic volume growth; this includes travel to participate in customer meetings.
- Work with the Business Manager and Technical Service to match products and suppliers with sales opportunities.
- Coordinate technical service in support of new business.
- Update CRM tools to ensure the pipeline is robust and sustainable.
- Use target information to build a business plan for PE (film) sales in each sales territory.

- Proven communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to establish relationships and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders at various levels within and outside of the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and other related software/business tools.
- Demonstrated outside sales experience with a track record of success and demonstrated closing ability.
- Manage and organize time, information, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and performance deliverables.
- Ability to engage effectively in both business and social settings while entertaining prospective customers in alignment with company guidelines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work autonomously on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in selling, brand management, and strategy development preferred.
- Field sales experience required.
- Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Candidate must be able/willing to do extensive travel.
- Language:
- Proficiency in English required.
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
