Position Description
What we're looking for: Our Senior UX Interaction Designers are experts in creating beautiful, usable solutions based on unbiased user research. They are at the forefront of setting strategic design direction for our financial suite of products and championing the voice of the user throughout our organization.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designs lean, iterative, and development-ready solutions that can scale for the future, while understanding the technology constraints of the present.
- Thinks deeply about the user experience balanced with business goals to inform their designs.
- Leads the product team (Product Owner, Project Manager, Software Engineers) through the user-centered design process with collaborative workshops for discovery and ideation.
- Applies user research insights to drive product design and strategy, helping the team understand why and how to build better experiences.
- Plans and executes user research in collaboration with internal stakeholders, sharing findings broadly across the organization.
What you’re good at:
- Crafting beautiful and usable designs for digital products by applying domain expertise and deep research findings.
- Conducting user research and experiments from planning to synthesis.
- Advocating for a Human-Centered Design process and creating a collaborative environment.
- Engaging and inspiring the product organization about customer experiences through powerful storytelling of the human-centered design process, research insights, and customer journeys.
- Leading as a ‘player/coach’ – owning UX design and mentoring less experienced designers.
- Craft beautiful and usable designs for digital products.
- Conduct user research and experiments from planning to synthesis.
- Advocate for a Human-Centered Design process.
- Engage and inspire the product organization about customer experiences.
- Lead as a ‘player/coach’ in UX design.
- Demonstrable experience in UX design and research across various projects and mediums.
- Deep expertise in Interaction & Visual Design, Information Architecture, UX Writing, and UX Research.
- Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping software like Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to visualize and test concepts at varying levels of fidelity.
- Experience synthesizing research findings into actionable insights.
- 4+ years as a UX/Interaction/Product Designer across digital media.
- 2+ years leading the human-centered design process with collaborative teams.
- Familiarity with code and working closely with development teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in user experience, human-computer interaction, interaction design, service design, graphic design, or a related field.
- Master’s in user experience or a related degree.
- Additional Bachelor's in sociology, anthropology, psychology, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a UX or Interaction Designer.
