Nemours is seeking a Digital Asset Librarian to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE or Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid position.

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Digital Asset Librarian. As a Digital Asset Librarian, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and curating our digital media assets in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

This role involves implementing and maintaining an efficient system for cataloging, storing, and retrieving digital content to ensure accessibility and usability. The Digital Asset Librarian will also support jobs related to the production and maintenance of Nemours' digital properties.

Essential Functions

1. Digital Asset Management Experience: Bring experience in digital asset management (DAM) or similar roles, with a solid understanding of organizing and optimizing digital assets.

2. Develop & Maintain DAM System: Create and manage a comprehensive DAM system, ensuring assets are well-organized, categorized, and easy to retrieve.

3. Metadata & SEO: Establish accurate metadata for assets, aligning with SEO best practices to improve discoverability.

4. Naming Conventions & Organization: Set and enforce naming conventions, folder structures, and file organization to facilitate efficient asset retrieval.

5. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with relevant teams to gather information and context for assets, ensuring accurate categorization and usage such as providing support to the brand team in ensuring brand resource center assets are correct and updated as appropriate.

6. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to meet standards for naming, file size, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and DAM storage location.

7. Metadata & Content Integrity: Identify and address metadata inaccuracies, file format issues, and content integrity concerns.

8. Library Audits: Perform audits of the digital media library to identify and handle outdated or redundant assets through archival or deletion.

9. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with IT and security teams to protect assets, implement access controls, and ensure compliance with copyright and licensing.

10. Automation & Preservation: Use scripting or automation tools for batch processing and apply digital preservation best practices for long-term asset management.

11. Admin & Legal Management: Manage access and organization of accounts for stock photography, fonts, and other resources, and ensure legal releases and consent documents are cataloged and accessible.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in library science, information science or a discipline associated with digital media or a related field.

2. Certification in digital asset management or related areas preferred. Certification in creative or brand strategy is a plus.

3. 5+ years work experience in design or related role.
