Senior Growth Marketing Manager/Assoc. Director, SEM & Display

We are seeking an experienced Senior Growth Marketing Manager, SEM & Display to lead and oversee our global SEM and Display efforts. Based in our New York City office, you'll have the opportunity to shape and drive the strategy across multiple global markets, including North America,
EU, DACH, and LATAM, helping achieve ambitious acquisition, revenue, and sales targets.
About the role:
As the Senior Growth Marketing Manager, SEM & Display, you will be the primary driver of paid search and programmatic display strategies across global markets. This role will focus on achieving ambitious revenue, customer acquisition, and sales volume goals, while owning global SEM & Display campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
You will oversee the SEM & Display team and work closely with the Head of Growth to execute strategies that deliver strong performance and scale across regions. You'll drive all aspects of the SEM & Display campaigns, from high-level strategy to day-to-day campaign management, optimization, and performance tracking. This role is crucial in meeting growth targets and providing high-level direction on the strategy, testing, reporting, and budget allocation for the channel's efforts globally.
Responsibilities:
Across all aforementioned markets, you will:
Lead the global SEM & Display strategy, focusing on customer acquisition through paid search and programmatic display (Google, Apple, Bing, Taboola), and aligning strategies with overarching acquisition goals.
Manage the entire SEM & Display team (4 people), ensuring campaigns are optimized, tailored to local market needs, and aligned with global revenue targets.
Drive revenue and sales volume goals for each region through digital marketing, ensuring each market is meeting its customer acquisition and lifetime value objectives.
Lead and manage campaign execution across all paid search and display channels, overseeing budgeting, planning, optimization, and reporting for all active campaigns.
Design, implement, and optimize A/B testing strategies for creatives, messaging, landing pages, and bidding strategies to maximize campaign performance.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Content, Design, Product, Engineering) to ensure that creative assets are aligned with performance goals and optimize them based on data insights.
Aggregate, analyze, and report on global campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive future optimization.
Work with platform reps, third-party agencies, and ad networks to build and maintain relationships that ensure top-tier execution and industry-leading strategies.
Identify new trends and tactics for SEM and Display channels, integrating innovative approaches to maintain a competitive edge in customer acquisition.
Manage the budgeting and allocation of paid media spend across regions, making recommendations on future investments based on campaign performance.
Ensure alignment between the global channel-level strategies and broader acquisition initiatives led by other marketing teams, especially around customer acquisition and revenue growth.
Oversee escalation procedures for any critical campaign issues, ensuring timely resolution and keeping senior leadership informed of any roadblocks or delays.
Key Job Requirements Are:
5+ years of hands-on experience leading SEM and programmatic display efforts across global markets, with a proven track record in driving customer acquisition, revenue, and sales volume.
Deep expertise in paid search (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Apple) and programmatic display (GDN and Taboola) buying, including audience targeting, bidding strategies, campaign optimization, and in-platform analysis.
Experience managing global campaigns across multiple regions (including EU, DACH, USA, Canada, and LATAM) with an ability to adapt strategies to local market needs.
Strong understanding of tracking, attribution, and performance analysis for digital marketing campaigns, using tools like Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
A strategic mindset with a data-driven approach, able to aggregate insights from large data sets and translate them into actionable plans.
Proven success in managing large-scale budgets and optimizing paid media spend for maximum ROI.
Strong project management skills with a detail-oriented approach, the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and a track record of hitting deadlines and delivering results.
Experience in a B2C subscription-based business or tech company is a major plus.
A collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams, while also providing escalation management for any campaign-related issues.
