Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Motion Designer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of motion graphics and animation, with a strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of artistic vision, professional experience, and a collaborative spirit to enhance our projects with high-quality animations and visual effects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Design and create enticing motion graphics for video deliverables (corporate videos, eLearning, websites, social media, etc.) Work with display software to deliver assets to different digital touchpoints and devices throughout the museum. Work with creative teams to understand project scope and objectives. Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design. Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics. Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics. Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas. Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the latest graphic design techniques. Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines, and design standards. Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests. Other Duties as Assigned Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Film, or a related field. 3-6 years of experience in motion design and animation. Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other visual effects software. Demonstrable motion design skills with a strong portfolio. Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable style. Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design. Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution. Manage time effectively, ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully; quality control is key. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 20 lbs. as required.
