Salaried Position
Salary: $5,000/year firm
Under Supervision of Pastor

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with pastor and pianist to choose weekly hymns and anthem that are in keeping with the liturgical season and theme of the worship service.
2. Maintain the music library.
3. Direct the choir for Sunday Service and special services.
4. Coordinate with administrative assistant to ensure all worship information is provided by noon each Wednesday.

Required Availability:

1. Sunday morning 10:30am-12pm
2. 1.5 hour choir practice Sunday evening (time variable)
3. Special services, including but not limited to: Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunrise, Longest Night, Christmas Eve.
4. Prep and/or practice time each week, as needed and at own discretion.

Role in Service:

Leading all hymns and directing anthem.

Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with Christian music preferred.
2. Must be able to pass a background check; will be re-checked every three years.

For the right candidate, we are willing to combine this job with church pianist for a higher salary.
