Design, implement, and maintain a high-quality website to enhance the digital presence of Woods & Woods and deliver seamless user experiences.

- Manage Design of Company Websites
- Lead collaborative web design projects, seeking input from the marketing team throughout the design process.
- Customize design themes and user interface to match changing trends of the web.
- Create interactive and functional design solutions to provide engaging customer experiences.
- Optimize website for section 508 accessibility standards.
- Manage Website Performance and Uptime
- Monitor and optimize website load speed and uptime.
- Manage website hosting and DNS records, with the support of service providers.
- Monitor and prepare for website server maintenance.
- Implement contingency plans in case the website goes down.
- Conduct Website Maintenance
- Perform regular updates to keep up with WordPress core, theme, and plugin releases.
- Customize the WordPress CMS experience to add functionality for internal users.
- Perform Website Research and Testing
- Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility of the website.
- Regularly test changes in a local and/or dev environment.
- Manage version control.
- Research and create solutions for presenting data from external sources on the website.
- Follow industry authorities and stay up to date on technology and design changes.
- Implement and Maintain Technical SEO Strategies
- Ensure structured data and schema are used correctly in all web pages and reusable content blocks.
- Implement search-friendly content architecture strategies (URL structure, tagging, content categories, etc.).
- Monitor site crawlability and ensure proper indexing of webpages.
- Ensure proper use of 301 and 302 redirects and canonical URLs.
- Support the Marketing Team
- Communicate with the marketing team about business goals and priorities.
- Adhere to all professional rules and ethical guidelines for marketing in the legal space.
- Solicit feedback on customer impact of website updates.

Other Duties
While performing the duties of this job, the Web Developer has the freedom to work from home or at the office. The Web Developer will be required to attend meetings and other required events in the Old Jail. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. This is a full-time position. A minimum of 36.5 hours worked per week is expected. Picking up reasonable web building work outside of Woods & Woods will be approved on a case-by-case basis. We understand that web developers are sometimes offered work from family and friends that own or operate businesses. However, you shall not be soliciting work or performing work for other law firms.
