Position Overview  

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary SVP, Creative Director, Art (SVP, CD, Art) to lead our creative teams and elevate the artistic direction for our healthcare advertising agency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare advertising, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovative, high-quality design. As a senior leader, you will oversee the art direction of integrated campaigns, providing strategic vision and ensuring that all creative output aligns with client goals and brand identity.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration. The role will be based out of our office located in New York City. All candidates must be willing to commute into the office on a regular basis.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire the creative team to deliver exceptional, high-impact, and strategically driven art concepts for healthcare clients.

  • Strategic Direction: Collaborate closely with copy, strategy, account, and other departments to develop creative solutions that meet client objectives, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and market needs.

  • Client Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, guiding them through the creative process and ensuring their needs and expectations are met while maintaining creative integrity.

  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop creative talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Ensure the team's professional growth and provide regular feedback.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with copywriters, designers, and other creatives to ensure cohesive and impactful visual solutions. Collaborate with project management teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative design and technology into creative work. Apply new techniques, tools, and concepts to improve the agency’s creative offerings.

  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of creative excellence, ensuring that all artwork is on-brand, meets client specifications, and is consistent across all touchpoints.

  • New Business Development: Play a pivotal role in pitching new business and growing client relationships through strong, compelling creative work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in healthcare advertising, with at least 5 years in a senior creative leadership role.

  • Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing a wide range of high-level creative work, with a focus on healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising.

  • Creative Expertise: Deep knowledge of design principles, digital media, advertising trends, and technology platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.

  • Leadership: Proven experience managing, inspiring, and mentoring creative teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain creative concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering creative solutions that meet client goals.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, including regulations, marketing practices, and trends.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or a related field. An advanced degree or additional certifications are a plus.

Salary Range: $250,000-$275,000

The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
