Position Overview

The SVP, Associate Creative Director, Copy (ACD, Copy) is a senior leadership role within the creative department. This individual plays a critical role in defining and executing the promotional plan for our clients’ businesses, driving creative excellence, and fostering strategic partnerships across disciplines.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration. The role will be based out of our office located in New York City. All candidates must be willing to commute into the office on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the creative vision and execution for assigned brands, ensuring high-quality work across all channels.

  • Partner with the ACD, Art, to drive innovative, brand-building creative solutions.

  • Collaborate with Medical and Strategy teams to ensure scientific accuracy and strategic alignment.

  • Spearhead conceptual efforts and contribute to new business pitches.

  • Serve as a senior creative lead, providing mentorship and guidance to the broader creative team.

  • Strategic and Tactical Execution

  • Develop compelling promotional copy, messaging, and campaigns that resonate with target audiences.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Strategy, Account, Medical, Studio, and Digital teams to align on objectives and deliverables.

  • Set and reinforce standards for creative excellence across the agency.

  • Team Management and Development

  • Manage and mentor a team of copywriters, ensuring professional growth and skill development.

  • Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.

  • Oversee workflow, project timelines, and budgets to optimize efficiency and resource allocation.

  • Anticipate and proactively address team challenges, ensuring a high-functioning, collaborative environment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Exceptional creative ideation and execution skills across multiple media and audiences.

  • Strong understanding of the regulatory and business landscape in healthcare communications.

  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations on creative, strategic, or agency-related topics.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize effectively, and adapt to shifting needs.

Education & Experience

  • 10+ years in healthcare communications, with demonstrated leadership experience.

  • Proven track record of success in:

  • Leading large teams and managing multiple brands.

  • Developing and executing high-impact campaigns, including pre-launch through launch strategies.

  • Cross-functional collaboration across Medical Communications, PR, and Promotion.

  • Driving creative strategy for global assignments.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Recognized for creative excellence through industry awards.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $220,000

The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
