Reports To: Design Center Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Design Center Concierge/Design Assistant supports the internal team, homeowners, and visitors by handling design center operations. This includes answering phones, managing office appointments, and scheduling and leading design consultations. The role requires evening hours once per week and reduced hours on Saturdays, as needed for design appointments.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional service to customers and visitors.

• Schedule and lead design appointments.

• Assist customers with material selection as needed.

• Provide customer slab selection information to Partner Support Specialists and/or Estimators.

• Answer phones and contact customers and dealers as necessary.

• Communicate required information internally and externally via email and phone.

• Participate in dealer training sessions and events.

• Collaborate with Strategic Sales Managers to maintain customer relations.

• Keep the Design Center organized and ensure it is stocked with supplies.

• Maintain Hold Reports for materials on a weekly basis.

• Uphold Classic Rock's Core Values.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday - Friday schedule with occasional evening hours (some Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7pm), and every other Saturday required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two years of customer service experience.

• Knowledge of countertops or cabinetry is preferred but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as the employee handbook, safety policies, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Capable of speaking effectively before groups of customers and employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Basic understanding of geometry is preferred.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to solve practical problems and address a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Intuitive ability to anticipate and address potential issues.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regular physical activities include standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, lifting material samples, and typing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.

• Noise level for this position is typically moderate.
