As we expand beyond our early adopters to a broader consumer base, we need a dynamic content marketing leader who can create visually compelling, breakthrough content that drives engagement and conversion.

Role Overview

This position will lead visual content development at Emporia Energy, focusing on video, animation, and still imagery to enhance storytelling across marketing channels. In addition to creating content, this role will require graphic design skills, agency/vendor management experience, and an interest in leveraging AI tools for content efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on creator who also wants to stretch into executing marketing campaigns, managing email marketing, social media, and content development.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Partner with the Sr. Mgr Digital and Content marketing to plan and execute the visual content strategy across all marketing channels (Web, Social, Paid Media, Email, E-commerce, B2B sales tools, etc.).
  2. Develop engaging video, animation, and still assets to tell compelling product and brand stories.
  3. Ensure consistency in visual storytelling across all platforms and customer touchpoints.
  4. Experiment with AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, automation, and personalization.
  5. Own seasonal storytelling, shaping the overarching narrative for product launches with a strong creative approach.

Creative Execution & Production

  1. Hands-on creation of digital content (e.g., video editing, motion graphics, static visuals).
  2. Manage content production timelines, ensuring high-quality output aligned with marketing objectives.
  3. Maintain graphic design capabilities for small-scale creative needs (e.g., social graphics, email banners, landing pages).
  4. Partner with internal teams and external agencies to scale creative production.
  5. Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices and conversion optimization strategies.
  6. Partner with the Head of Marketing to develop email marketing campaigns (promotional + lifecycle).
  7. Own social media content strategy and editorial calendar, ensuring engaging and timely posts.
  8. Manage content deployment across web, email, social, and paid channels.
  9. Collaborate with the PR team on influencer, affiliate, and earned media amplification.
  10. Leverage analytics to measure content effectiveness, engagement, and ROI, iterating based on insights.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of content marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on visual content creation (video, animation, and stills).
  2. Proven ability to conceptualize and produce compelling video and motion graphics.
  3. Graphic design proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar).
  4. Experience managing agencies and external creative partners from ideation to execution.
  5. Interest in AI-driven content tools and a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
  6. Hands-on experience with social media, email marketing, and content distribution.
  7. Strong ability to extract insights from data and analytics to inform creative decisions.
  8. Excellent project management skills; ability to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  9. A self-motivated, strategic thinker who also enjoys hands-on execution.
