A Videographer will have a primary focus on producing and providing consultation on various audio and video projects which may include, but are not limited to: shooting footage, taking photographs, creating and/or editing informational videos, employee spotlights, podcasts, presentations, and training videos. Our Videographer also oversees video content management and archive efforts in this role.
**This is a part-time position with an avg 4 days/30 hours a week
HOW A VIDEOGRAPHER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Produce and provide consultation on various audio and video projects which may include, but are not limited to: shooting footage, taking photographs, creating and/or editing informational videos, employee spotlights, podcasts, presentations, and training videos.
- Oversee video content management and archive efforts.
- Excellent visual stylistic sense (balance, tone, placement) with an understanding of videography principles.
- Ability to translate complex information into concise, engaging videos.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment; must be able to manage several projects simultaneously from concept through completion.
- Detail oriented with good communication and customer service skills.
- Troubleshoots problems with the equipment.
- Makes recommendations for best practices for video creation and storage and distribution of final videos.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
- BA/BS in videography, digital editing, visual communications, or a related program area.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in the field of video production.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience producing original training, corporate, and/or government videos.
- Required computer software skills: Expertise in PC-based Adobe Creative Cloud -- particularly After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and Bridge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 basics – Video, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent visual stylistic sense (balance, tone, placement) with an understanding of videography principles.
- Ability to translate complex information into concise, engaging videos.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment; must be able to manage several projects simultaneously from concept through completion.
- Prior experience interviewing and videotaping or photographing people and creating a film clip via editing raw footage.
- Ability to prepare background film or “B” roll as well as live feed.
- Ability to insert closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video.
- Portfolio required with examples of video projects.
Security Clearance Level:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting.
- This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

- Remote with the expectation to drive into the office on an as-needed basis to the primary client site location in Arlington, VA.
