What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Edit the weekly graduate student newsletter, collecting and compiling content while adhering to established voice and style guidelines
- Assist with website content maintenance, providing feedback on content and structure
- Create event registration forms and automated email reminders using the email marketing tool Eloqua
- Promote Graduate School events through special promotional email campaigns and social media posts
- Provide feedback and generate ideas for engaging graduate students in professional development programming
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be enrolled as a graduate student at the employer
- Experience working independently and collaboratively to complete tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage details and deadlines
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills, demonstrated through application materials
- Experience communicating effectively and professionally with supervisors and peers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience writing and editing for a broad, public audience
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Eloqua, MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar
- Experience with event registration forms through tools like Google Forms or Qualtrics
- Knowledge of digital accessibility best practices for websites and emails
- Understanding of the needs of graduate students and campus resources available to them
