We’re looking for a Product Designer passionate about transforming complex data into compelling, user-friendly design experiences. You’ll be working as a designer on the Product Analytics Team, focused on building our analytics platform. You’ll work within the product design team, collaborating with other designers to make the best designs and solutions, excelling in visual clarity and use focused for the product. Your deep understanding of user needs and keen eye for simplifying interactions make you a master of aesthetics and visual hierarchy, ensuring that users can quickly and efficiently find the information they need. Together we deliver intuitive, impactful solutions that resonate with a new strategic user base, including product managers, product designers, and researchers. You will engage with customers to learn their needs and pain points, and work together with product managers and engineers to lead the design of an impactful new product space.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed;
  • Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and user interfaces that are not only functional but also distinctive, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with our brand identity;
  • See your design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better;
  • Be the expert in your product area, mentoring designers on the team to do their best work;
  • Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company;
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how your designs will be built.

Who You Are:

  • You have 5+ years of full-time experience in digital B2B product design;
  • You have experience in visual design, with a strong focus on UI design;
  • Your portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping intuitive web experiences;
  • You understand design principles, including user-centered design, visual hierarchy, and information architecture;
  • You have a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics;
  • You have a demonstrated history of designing and implementing visual elements that enhance user interaction and engagement;
  • You thrive in the visual design space but are also fluid in the UX design space;
  • You are an excellent visual and written communicator, able to clearly communicate your design work and the support for your design decisions;
  • You have experience with prototyping tools (e.g. Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, InVision);
  • You understand systems thinking and component-based design patterns;
  • You give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP);
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing;
  • Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking;
  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups);
  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our internal panel discussions;
  • Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+;
  • Competitive global benefits.

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
