Enterprise Print Solutions Technical Marketing Engineer (Specialist) at HP Inc. in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Summary The Customer Lifecycle Engineering and Quality organization has an exciting opportunity available for a Specialist-level Technical Marketing Engineer, who will daily represent HP's Enterprise firmware code bases, and Solutions (software). This role provides opportunity to get lots of hands-on experience with HP's enterprise customers, working closely with channel partners, global R&D and qualification teams, to root cause and drive resolution on critical customer issues. Main Responsibilities + Act as a customer advocate and quality champion within GBU + Interact directly with R&D development teams to root cause customer found defects + Lead and manage complex field escalations, which may include direct customer/partner interaction + Participate and influence the development of future products and solutions + Develop white papers, technical notes, support and training material + Support early evaluation programs from a firmware, software and solution perspective Knowledge and Skills + Strong understanding of printing system architectures, embedded systems, client/server infrastructure, networking technologies and operating systems (e.g. Windows, MAC, etc.) + Strong decision-making skills, and an ability to coordinate cross-functional teams + Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on problem-solving resolution in complex print systems + Strong desire to work directly with customers/partners + Ability to multi-task and deal with time-sensitive situations + Operational knowledge of firmware development: from defect/feature specification to release + Positive attitude and teamwork spirit, especially with remote teams + Self-starter and proactive mindset + Effective documentation skills Common Methods and Tools + Product Development - Frameworks, Process + Hardware/Software Development - Agile, Scrum, Sprints + Continuous Improvement Process - Lean, Kanban + Program/Project Management - Planning, Prioritization, Change/Risk Analysis + Competencies - Communication, Collaboration, Results Orientation, Learning Agility, Growth Mind-set, Customer Centricity + MIRO, JIRA, Sudden Impact Education + Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent + 3-5 years' professional experience in the technical industry + Desire to use expertise and experience to effectively serve HP's Enterprise print customer The base pay range for this role is $90,100 to $138,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
