SUMMARY: We are seeking a creative and data-driven Editorial Director to lead the creation, planning, and implementation of world-class editorial content across UP Entertainment’s streaming and digital platforms. This role involves setting the editorial direction with disciplined, data-informed content creation to entertain and engage audiences, growing our digital communities.

The Editorial Director will collaborate with various teams to ensure digital content (social media posts, blogs, brand collaborations, etc.) elevates UP Entertainment’s brand and resonates with target audiences, optimizing search and conversion. This role routinely applies SEO and CRO best practices, monitors emerging social platforms and digital media trends, and uses insights and analytics to refine our editorial voice, improve discoverability, and support business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership : Direct editorial voice across brands and teams, plan content, manage calendars, and ensure messaging aligns with brand identity and KPIs. Content Creation : Lead the planning and execution for creation and publishing of digital content, ensuring brand voice consistency and cross-platform optimization. Performance Analysis : Analyze data to track and assess KPIs, adjusting content strategies as needed to improve conversion rates. SEO & Social Media Optimization : Implement best practices in SEO and social media to maximize content visibility and lead generation. Digital Innovation : Stay updated on emerging trends and tools in digital content creation to keep editorial voice fresh and effective. Effective Teamwork : Work closely with brand and marketing stakeholders, content creators, and community engagement team to develop workflows and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Lead Generation & Conversion : Develop content that grows and engages audiences to convert leads into trials and subscriptions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university in Multimedia Journalism, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field highly preferred. 5+ years in editorial functions for digital and social media content, planning, creation and management, social media strategy, digital community building, lead generation and organic conversion required. Experience in entertainment media, streaming platforms, social and digital media, podcasting and other platforms is highly preferred.

Project Management : Familiarity with Airtable and Wrike for managing projects, tasks and deadlines. Written and Oral Communication : Excellent ability to create narratives tailored to digital audiences. Creativity : Consistently delivers high caliber creative work product. Teamwork : Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team. Customer Focus : Monitors client satisfaction (internal or external). Problem Solving and Analysis : Identifies significant problems and opportunities.

TECHNICAL SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the following:

Content Management Systems (CMS) : Proficient in organizing, scheduling, storing and publishing content across various platforms. Video Editing Software : Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Cloud and AI tools for high-quality video content. Social Media Platforms and Analytics : Expertise in crafting engagement strategies and measuring performance on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and more. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) : Ability to optimize content for enhanced visibility and searchability. Data Analytics and Reporting : Proficient in analyzing audience data and social media insights to refine strategies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

OTHER: This is a hybrid job role, with a combination of telecommuting workdays and in-office workdays.
