About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Public Relations to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned public relations expert with a proven track record in leading both inbound and outbound media relations. This role is pivotal in creating and executing effective PR strategies that not only result in positive media coverage but also foster a strong sense of trust and connection with the brand. The VP will be responsible for defining the media strategy, leading a team of PR professionals, and acting as the primary point of contact for the firm's PR agency. A key aspect of the role is the ability to manage and guide agency partners, as well as to proactively pitch and lead media outreach. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in public relations, particularly within the financial services or wealth management sector. The role requires a candidate with a multi-stakeholder, business-driven mindset, capable of balancing proactive PR efforts with a keen awareness of reputational risks. The ideal candidate will be an excellent storyteller and writer, with strong content creation skills, and existing media relationships. Experience in crisis communications thought leadership positioning, and executive visibility is essential. The VP will also be expected to have a combination of long-term strategic thinking and the ability to respond opportunistically to news cycles, as well as to provide data-driven measurement and media analytics insights.
