Role Summary:

Reporting to the VP, Head of Client Marketing, you will translate the needs of the advisor audience to match with our key business solutions to drive marketing engagement

Essential Functions Understand the MARKET, including key target audiences, American Century source of business, key stock market activities and how they impact audiences to translate into ACI opportunities

Understand American Century VALUE, including what American Century offers to meet prioritized client needs, participation in value proposition activities for owned segments, and gathering information from frontline business partners

Understand what key MESSAGES resonate and motivate with target audiences to better inform future opportunities, leveraging all available data points (research, client feedback, responses to date. This responsibility is shared with the Experience Strategy team, Editorial Services and Product Marketing

Articulate these key understandings via annual plans and campaign briefs to establish clear goal and benefits of target audiences

Create and maintain positive working relationships with Experience Marketers, Sales, Relationship Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, and others to inform key audience insights

Responsibilities

Translates client need, market analysis and business partner input into objectives and key programs for Client Marketing annual plan

Sets annual Marketing Program objectives in conjunction with Campaign Experience Team Lead

Creates campaign briefs based on research and data available on designated audiences, outlines measurable campaign objectives

Fields, facilitates and coordinates additional opportunities and point of sale injects (i.e., ad hoc requests) with business partners and Campaign Experience Team Lead

Inputs into the annual content strategy plan and work with Editorial Services on appropriate keywords to enhance SEO strategy

Review high level campaign experience maps within briefs to determine best go-to-market strategy

Reviews initial messaging and creative to ensure alignment to audience need and business strategy

Outline key campaign dates, mandatories and other relevant information as it relates to annual plan and campaign plan success

Establish annual goals in collaboration with VP Client Marketing and Experience Marketing Lead across programs, including forecasting annual KPIs

Working with Marketing Analytics and Experience Marketing Lead, track to annual goals

Provide insights on all programs during quarterly reviews in collaboration with key Marketing partners

Works with Experience Marketers on individual campaign analytics expectations for brief

Provide guidance throughout the campaign development process, answering questions as needed and ensuring campaign delivery meets overall audience strategies.

Researches and articulates client challenges by audience segment and provide that insight in briefs, in planning exercises and within other relevant conversations

Acts Marketing single point of contact with business partners to relay Marketing efforts, provide audience insights and other support

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

5-7 plus years' experience in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Planning, Audience Planning, Go-To-Market Strategy, Channel Planning, Consumer Insights or related experience

Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration

Very detail-oriented with ability to work independently and take a hands-on approach but also collaboratively across teams and all levels of the organization

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Financial services industry experience preferred but not required

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and B2B marketing tools such as Salesforce marketing programs
