The Experiential Graphics and Signage Designer will maintain effective communication with design managers and various cross-functional studios and teams. The candidate will be knowledgeable in wayfinding theory, design, and programming, and will conceptualize and communicate ideas using hand sketches, scale drawings, computer-generated illustrations, and photo visualizations. This role requires the ability to two- and three-dimensionally express and translate branding into built environments and demonstrate a high understanding of a range of signage materials, finishes, lighting, and construction techniques for experiential graphic design elements, signage, and graphics.
Responsibilities
Maintain effective communication with design managers and various cross-functional studios and teams.
Conceptualize and communicate ideas using hand sketches, scale drawings, computer-generated illustrations, and photo visualizations.
Develop design documentation and implementation for branded environments, signage, and wayfinding and experiential graphic elements across all project phases including Discovery, Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bidding and Negotiation, and Construction Administration.
Develop graphics for various print campaigns, including brand marks, style guides, email marketing, social media, and advertisements.
Provide wayfinding, design, and programming support for retail, entertainment, hospitality, residential, interiors, and architectural development groups.
Express and translate branding into built environments two and three-dimensionally.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Knowledge in wayfinding theory, design, and programming.
Proficiency in 3-D visualization software appropriate to experiential graphic and signage design such as Enscape, Rhino, and SketchUp.
Ability to develop design documentation and implementation for branded environments, signage, and wayfinding.
Experience in developing graphics for various print campaigns.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3-D BIM modeling (Revit) is a plus.
Bachelor’s or associate degree in graphic design, experiential graphic design, illustration, or a comparative field.
Work Environment
This role reports directly to the Director of Graphics and is embedded within the client’s team. The position requires working in the office five days a week. The designer will support various business units, including Interiors, and will be utilized across the client’s entire portfolio of business.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $36.05/hr.
