Sr. Production Coordinator - Domestic
OVERVIEW
We seek a proactive and detail-oriented Sr. Production Coordinator (Domestic) to assist in coordinating and managing various aspects of our domestic production processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Must have ERP Experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Production Planning Support:
• Assist in developing and maintaining production plans and calendars, ensuring they align with customer demand and company objectives.
Negotiations:
• Participate in negotiations through scheduling and presenting the product understanding the process and costs. Material Sourcing:
• Collaborate with suppliers to procure necessary raw materials, trims, and accessories while ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness, all based on projections
Order Tracking:
• Monitor the progress, and maintain all production orders, track work in progress, and maintain accurate production schedules in Exenta
• Provide updates at the weekly team meetings
Quality Control Assistance:
• Support quality control efforts by conducting inspections and ensuring products meet specified quality standards. Visit factories when needed.
Inventory Management:
• Manage all inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production requirements.
Communication:
• Serve as a liaison between production teams, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and promptly resolve any issues or delays.
Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records, including production reports, inventory records, and order documentation.
PO Generation:
• Facilitate POs for RM, Trims, and finished goods, tracking by stage and updating the database as the product progresses
Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to and promote safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in production coordination or a similar role in the apparel industry is preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite
• Project management a plus
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of clothing production processes, construction, and RM
