is seeking a temporary
Graphic Designer.
The successfully candidate will collaborate with creative services team to create design concepts and produce digital and print materials to support and promote the Harkins brands. The Graphic Designer will also apply design standards and directions as provided by the team.
*PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION AND WE ESTIMATE A DURATION OF 6 MONTHS*
What You Will Be Doing:
Design and production of graphic design and creative projects for print and digital media including but not limited to brochures, menus, POP/in-theatre displays, outdoor displays, website imagery, digital banner advertising, social media imagery, mobile device imagery, packaging and more. Collaborates on the creative direction for project and campaign development for various Harkins programs. Production and ownership of deliverables creation for various Harkins programs. Regular attendance and physical presence at the work site. Sets high standards for self while maintaining company standards, policies and procedures to ensure delivery of the ultimate moviegoing experience at all times. Maintains a professional working environment while setting a positive and professional example. Administrative duties including filing, faxing, copying, emailing, scheduling meetings, transferring files, preparing shipments. Requires typing on a computer, close detail work requiring visual acuity, finger dexterity, reaching, lifting/carrying light items, interacting with others, speaking on the telephone, problem solving and cognitive skills. Additional Duties
Assists with ad-hoc projects as needed. What We Are Looking For:
Formal training and 3-5 years experience in graphic arts/design. Bachelor's degree preferred. Proficient with Mac-based computers, using Adobe Creative Cloud software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and others. Experience with print/publishing processes as well as digital environments including social media platforms. Strong conceptual approach to design, typography and layout skills. Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop artboards. Knowledge of Photoshop Timeline and Adobe Premiere a plus. Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms. Able and willing to learn new processes and programs as needed. Able to operate with focus, prioritize and work on various projects and deadlines with frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility and composure. Organized with strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint experience. Maintains a calm, professional demeaner and uses good judgment in elevating situations. Strong work ethic to see a project through from start to finish. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
