Job Description We are seeking an experienced Video Conferencing Engineer to deploy modern VC equipment in hundreds of rooms across the service territory. The ideal candidate has experience with design, engineering, coordinating with installers and troubleshooting systems. We require a candidate in the Columbus, OH area who can work in a hybrid situation with approximately 50% in-office work for installations and troubleshooting. Local contractor travel within the Columbus, OH area is expected. Potential for occasional after-hours work if an installation goes past normal business hours, but not frequently required. No overtime is expected, but may be possible occasionally if needed and pre-approved by manager. Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

This role will be a critical resource for our team. Perform infrastructure project assignments, including planning, research, evaluation, and design of infrastructure solutions. Provide high-level technical support and analysis, operation, administration, and troubleshooting activities. Adhere to client approval processes as part of change management, incident management, and trouble response scenarios. Prepare cost estimates, justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations. Prepare technical documentation, including procedures, manuals, and reports. Review and adhere to budgeting and approval processes while assisting with annual and project planning. May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team. Adhere to policies, procedures, standards, codes, and regulations relevant to assignments. Basic Qualifications:

4 years of video conferencing software engineering experience with modern tools. Software experience in MS Teams and Zoom. Physical hardware experience with Modern Video Conference Room equipment. Network and Security protocols and configurations. Candidate must highlight specific examples of engineering/design, implementation, user education/support, technical troubleshooting support with video conferencing technologies. Excellent written and verbal skills. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. 7 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of client infrastructure, environment, components, and facilities to enable more efficient and comprehensive responses to projects and problems. Exhibit and apply proficiency in analysis, design, problem solving, troubleshooting, resolution, communication, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.
