ALTA IT has a Long-Term Contract position open for a Technical Writer. Washington DC 20006 – Hybrid with 1-2 days onsite a week Per Federal Govt Sector U.S Citizenship is required Ability to pass Federal background check is required for Level 4 Public Trust Clearance Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer/Editor to support its Agile Transformation Program. This role will be responsible for developing, editing, and maintaining documentation to support Agile processes, governance models, training materials, and organizational best practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, and program leaders to ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of Agile methodologies and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Documentation Development & Management: Develop, update, and maintain Agile playbooks, training materials, governance documents, and process guides. Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy in all Agile transformation-related documentation. Create user-friendly documentation to support Agile teams, executives, and stakeholders in understanding Agile methodologies and frameworks. Content Editing & Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation for grammar, style, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards. Ensure technical content is clear, concise, and easily understood by different audiences. Maintain version control and documentation integrity across multiple Agile initiatives. Training & Knowledge Management Support: Assist in the development of training materials, presentations, and e-learning modules to support Agile education. Support knowledge-sharing initiatives by managing content repositories and ensuring accessibility of Agile resources. Work closely with Agile coaches and trainers to translate complex Agile concepts into understandable content. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Agile teams, transformation leaders, and governance committees to gather insights and refine documentation. Participate in Agile ceremonies, workshops, and feedback sessions to ensure documentation remains relevant and aligned with organizational needs. Provide recommendations for improving documentation processes and knowledge-sharing strategies. Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Track documentation usage and effectiveness to drive continuous improvement. Conduct periodic reviews of Agile materials to ensure alignment with evolving best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile communication and documentation strategies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, or content development. Experience with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and Agile frameworks preferred. Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content. Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, MadCap Flare, or similar platforms. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Experience working in government, quasi-governmental, or highly regulated environments is a plus. #M2
