As a line producer, you will collaborate with other members of the branded content team, alumni, students, and external contractors to create festival and broadcast-quality films and special projects supporting various university initiatives. You will develop customized production models to meet the needs of diverse creative concepts, create and manage production budgets and schedules, and ensure accurate estimations and negotiations that stay within the budget. You will handle multiple projects and deliverables daily, facilitate smooth transitions throughout production, and efficiently address sensitive issues related to permits and insurance.

In this role, you will engage with stakeholders, fellow producers, and key crew members to maintain a consistent creative vision across all departments. You will adeptly navigate communication and contract negotiations with talent agents, managers, vendors, and crew; collaborate with outside production companies, contractors, and vendors; and delegate or manage production and post-production needs and responsibilities. You will also perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

The successful candidate will conduct themselves professionally in all on-set and in-office interactions. The candidate approaches assignments with enthusiasm and creativity. They have experience managing multiple project deadlines simultaneously and developing production budgets and schedules. They are a strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The candidate can balance logistical needs with a creative mindset and respond well to giving and receiving feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least three years of production experience as a line producer, project manager, or in a similar role
  • Proficiency with production management tools like Movie Magic, StudioBinder, and Basecamp
  • Strong network of industry contacts locally and internationally
    Extensive understanding of post-production pipelines and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree

Travel required:
  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
