In this role, you will be crucial to the team's success through the creation, formatting, and maintenance of campaign branding sheets and files for sharing, production, and archival needs. You will apply existing creative branding to new jobs and uphold SCAD and department standards for file management, pre-press work, and proofing protocols. Among other duties, your role will also involve staying abreast of new trends in design and print production, implementing rush job designs, and performing other responsibilities as assigned to help meet department and university goals.
The successful candidate should be able to take direction, follow instructions, and be open to constructive feedback while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. The candidate should demonstrate excellent time management, refined typography, and collaborative skills, as well as the ability to work independently. They should also possess strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. An attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines is essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related discipline
- Two to five years of experience as a production artist or similar position
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) or other design software
- Dynamic portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of expertise, including design principles, production, and layout, as well as the production of print and interactive designs (i.e., file formats, color profiles, resolution)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing with PowerPoint and/or Keynote presentation software
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver's license
Travel required:
- Less than 10%
Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
