The Clinical Learning Specialist & Learning Event Planner plays an essential role in executing the learning functions of Mortenson Dental Partners. This position supports the Learning & Development Team by handling a wide variety of organizational systems and project management tasks related to Learning Events and the Academy of General Dentistry credential, with up to 20% of time spent traveling.

Requirements:
  • Provides strategic direction when working with vendors and venues for on and off-site
    training activities and learning events. Serves as the lead planner for national learning
    event logistics, providing hotel/venue sourcing, meeting management, vendor relations
    and planning services for: INSPIRE, Top Docs, and CE Learning Events with up to 20%
    of time spent traveling. This includes live & virtual experiences, overseeing planning logistics and setup, facilities and equipment management, and contract negotiations -up to company approved budget limits. Manages the budget allocations for all learning events and activities. Ensures ADG compliance according to established MDP
    procedure.
  • Establish work flows, practices, and standards to ensure that ongoing support is
    provided for regional learning events.
  • Conduct Event Reviews with key stakeholders. Ensures action plans are developed and
    implemented.
  • Be an active member of the Learning & Development team, visiting practices and
    supporting field leaders with learning needs. Facilitation of learning materials as
    determined by the Director of Learning & Development. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor Degree, Formal training as a Dental Assistant or Hygiene
    Assistant (Preferred)
  • Experience with mentoring and training.
    Minimum 3 years of work-related experience in a clinical dental setting.
  • Event Planning (Preferred)
  • Computer, Projector
  • Knowledge of G-Suite; Learning Management Systems (Preferred)
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to communicate
    well orally and in writing.
  • Planning and organizing, communication skills - oral and written, budget
    management, decision-making, presentation skills, data gathering and
    analysis, problem analysis and problem solving, judgment, collaboration
    skills, influencing, adaptability, team player, budget management. (Preferred)
