Overview
Margaret H Rollins School of Nursing is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable School of Nursing Librarian to support the research and academic needs of nursing students and faculty. This in-person role involves providing research assistance, managing nursing-related resources, conducting instructional sessions, and collaborating with faculty to enhance student learning.
Responsibilities
- Provides knowledge and accessibility of library resources.
- Provides reference service and research assistance.
- Analyzes requests
- Selects appropriate resources
- Conducts literature search
- Provides requested information via in-house collection or interlibrary loans
- Provides journal articles to consortium members
- Provides reference service and research assistance.
- Develops and delivers instructional sessions on information literacy, database searching, and citation management.
- Manages and curates nursing-related library resources, including books, journals, and electronic databases.
- Coordinates collection development.
- Reviews/evaluates books and journals
- Assesses holdings, compares with core lists
- Recommends acquisitions
- Processes requests for review
- Contacts publishing reps for new resources
- Demonstrates knowledge and competence with technical skills.

Qualifications
- One year of technical library experience.
- Familiarity with nursing and healthcare databases such as CINAHL, PubMed, and UpToDate.
- Strong teaching and instructional skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in using digital library resources and citation management tools.
- Experience in an academic or health sciences library preferred.
