JOB TITLE: Social Media Coordinator

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA onsite M-F
DURATION: 3 month contract with potential to extend
RATE RANGE: $30-32/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media Coordinator supports and optimizes our client's communication and social media strategies and supports larger communications efforts and projects. This position is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness and improve marketing efforts. This includes working with our Sections to curate content for members to learn and engage via our social channels. This position will also coordinate marketing materials, public relations and advertisements to distribute via social channels. Duties also entail tracking campaign progress, developing digital marketing materials, sourcing images and artwork, collating content, updating online assets, streamlining digital marketing production, and handling general digital marketing and communications activities. Creative thinking skills and strategies are essential in driving our digital narrative, enhancing our client's image, improving digital communication, and encouraging organization growth through effective campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience using Canva, Sprout Social, and Basecamp (or a similar project management software)
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media content, accounts, strategy, and initiatives
- Develop marketing processes, marketing collateral, and edit marketing materials
- Graphic design for various social media projects
- Edit photo/video for social media content
- Research market trends
- Develop and source content for digital platforms
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates for this role should have a design eye, knowledge of typography and best practices in graphic design (sense of what’s trending in industry), be creative and innovative, multimedia savvy, well-organized, and possess great writing skills. They should also have a firm grasp of the different digital touch points, drive effective digital campaigns, enhance user experience, and deliver on marketing objectives.
