Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for managing all aspects of advertising for individual Fairway and Gourmet Garage Member groups. As the liaison between the Member contacts and the Advertising and Merchandising Departments, the AE will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of advertising and merchandising with the creative team and pre-press production staff. The position requires flexible hours, knowledge of retail advertising, attention to detail and knowledge of print advertising.


You must be organized have exceptional time management skills with the ability to multi-task. This person needs strong communication and creative skills as you are dealing directly with Fairway and gourmet Garage Members. Knowledge of Print, Production, Strong Proofreading skills, digital, e-mail as well creative abilities are necessary


Essential Functions

  • Ensure clear communication of member needs, expectations, and feedback..
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, and other creative team members to produce engaging and accurate content for the circular. Ensure all product information, prices, and promotions are correctly represented.
  • Create and manage project timelines to ensure all elements of the circular are completed on schedule. Coordinate with various departments to meet deadlines and handle any delays or issues that arise.
  • Stay updated with the latest advertising trends and technologies..




Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for spreadsheet management, Word for document creation and editing, and PowerPoint for designing engaging presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail in identifying and correcting errors in text. Capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Problem-Solving Skills and Excellent Follow-Through: Adept at identifying issues, developing effective solutions, and implementing them efficiently. Committed to seeing tasks through to completion and ensuring all details are addressed.
  • Skilled in designing visually appealing layouts for various media, including print and digital formats. Creative thinker with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Experienced in using Adobe InDesign for creating professional-quality layouts, brochures, and other marketing materials. Familiar with advanced features and best practices.
  • Competent in managing digital communications, including crafting professional emails, managing email campaigns, and utilizing digital tools for marketing and communication purposes.
  • Four-year college degree strongly preferred.
  • Previous retail/wholesale business experience including knowledge of Wakefern Merchandising/Marketing and Advertising.
  • Outstanding communication skills including presentation and negotiation experience.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills with an ability to motivate others and to coordinate multiple merchandising/marketing and advertising activities.
  • Previous retail advertising experience, including ability to direct Advertising Department in coordinating store ad layouts, as well as experience with ad production practices.
  • Knowledge of IN-Design- required.
  • Must be innovative self-starter who can coordinate multiple activities.
  • Ability to interface with upper and middle management as well as with the individual fairway/Gourmet Garage owners and contacts.


Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Ability to monitor computer screens for long periods of time
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with a current requirement of 4 days in person, as established by the division
  • Ability to flex hybrid schedule to attend important meetings and vendor or store visits based on business needs
