The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Technical Writer/Editor to add to its Product Assurance Team in Albuquerque, N.M. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and an independent thinker needing minimal oversight. Responsibilities include proof-reading, editing, and formatting technical documentation. Edits and formats information for consumption through various media channels including printed materials, email, SharePoint, and other electronic access points. Gathers information, interviews subject matter experts, and conducts other research to convey technical material concisely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with representatives in various functional groups assigned to the product or program, including Senior Management, Project Management, Product Assurance, Technical Publications, Technical Services, Operations, Customer Support, and Finance.
- Reviews design, manufacturing, and testing documentation including Statement of Work and other contractual requirements.
- Ensures contract compliance by reviewing SOW, government requirements, and the latest revisions of technical publications.
- Reviews Work Orders assigned to Quality Assurance, specifically as editor and data manager. Reports status updates and completion of assignments.
- Completes editing tasks while providing flexibility within processes to not impact delivery schedules.
- May be requested to attend project meetings for better process understanding.
- Proficient in understanding Technical Orders and MILSTDS.
- Delivers deliverables to customers' data management repository.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Technical editing skills.
- Proficient in reading technical documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and present measurements of performance.
- Collaborates with engineering team, customers, and management team at a technical level.
- Ability to learn and navigate online systems and databases easily.
- Thorough understanding of AS9100 Standards and ability to quickly learn the company's Quality Management System.
Desired:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years experience, or an associate's degree with related coursework.
- Prior technical editing position.
- Experience using Microsoft Access databases.
- Familiarity with Aerospace Standard AS9100.
- Familiarity with the use and application of style guides.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $53,200 - $111,600.
