The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Technical Writer/Editor to add to its Product Assurance Team in Albuquerque N.M.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and and independent thinker needing minimal oversight
Responsible for proof-reading, editing, formatting technical documentation
Edits and formats information for consumption through various media channels to include printed materials, email, SharePoint and other electronic access points
Gathers information, interviews subject matter experts, and conducts other research in order to convey technical material in a concise and effective manner
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with representatives in various functional groups assigned to the product or program, including but not limited to Senior Management, Project Management, Product Assurance, Technical Publications, Technical Services, Operations, Customer Support, and Finance
Reviews design, manufacturing, and testing documentation to include Statement of Work, and other contractual requirements
Ensures contract compliance by reviewing SOW, Govt. requirements, and last revisions of technical publications
Reviews Work Orders assigns to Quality Assurance, specifically, editor and data manager. Reports status updates, completion of assignment
Completes editing tasking while continuing to provide flexibility within our processes to not impact delivery schedules
May be requested to attend project meetings for better process understanding
Proficient at understanding of Technical Orders and MILSTDS
Delivers deliverables to customers data management repository
Performs other duties assigned
Qualifications:
Required: Active Secret Clearance
Technical editing
Proficient at reading technical documentation Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Create and present measurements of performance
Collaborates with engineering team, customers, and management team at a technical level
Ability to learn and navigate online systems and databases with relative ease
Thorough understanding of AS9100 Standards and the ability to quick learn the company's Quality Management System
Desired: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 3 years experience or associates degree with related coursework
Prior technical editing position
Experience using Microsoft Access databases
Familiarity with Aerospace Standard AS9100
Familiarity with use and application of style guides

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$53,200 - $111,600
