About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Sales and Marketing to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the company's operations, with a primary focus on sales and marketing strategy. This role involves defining and executing a sales plan, restructuring the sales force, creating an outbound sales team, and implementing various sales and marketing initiatives. The VP will be responsible for new customer acquisition, managing key accounts, and driving the company's revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and marketing, with a strong emphasis on sales, and at least 2 years of sales leadership experience. Experience in national account selling, distributed sales team management, and a proven track record in sales management and metrics is essential. The role also requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience, and a Master's or post-graduate degree is preferred. The VP of Sales and Marketing at the company will be expected to demonstrate high levels of intelligence, analytical strength, and the ability to set and communicate demanding standards. Decisiveness, honesty, integrity, and the ability to inspire loyalty are also key attributes. The candidate should have a very high level of energy and commitment, excellent communication skills, and outstanding planning and organization abilities. Experience in the environmental engineering or related industry, particularly in the areas of vapor intrusion systems design and inspection, is highly valued. The role is suited to a professional with a strong leadership ability, experience in a growth phase company, and a proven track record in building and managing high-performing sales teams. The VP will be part of the executive team, contributing to the overall company strategy and must be adept at working with founders, investors, and board directors in a private company setting.
