The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a robust underwriting and operational framework, with a focus on establishing and executing a new delegated authority center of excellence. This role involves creating and managing underwriting and non-underwriting services throughout the entire delegated authority life cycle, ensuring comprehensive operational due diligence, and upholding delegated data standards. The VP will also be tasked with overseeing the business's comprehensive management, including due diligence, onboarding activities, underwriting referrals, pricing analysis, and relationship management with program administrators and MGAs. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in underwriting or with MGA-delegated business, with expert knowledge in delegated authority underwriting and relevant regulatory environments. The role requires strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage vision and purpose. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading a new business unit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Advanced knowledge of organizational and regulatory requirements, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, is essential. The VP will also be expected to proactively foster an inclusive environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and open communication.
