Apparel Technical Designer This role is onsite 5 days a week in the Sacramento area. No hybrid or remote work scheduled offered at this time.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apparel Technical Designer to join our growing team. The Technical Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate fit, construction, and quality of our apparel products, from concept to production. This role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fit analysis, and technical package creation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for creating high-quality garments. Responsibilities: Develop detailed technical specifications packages, including garment measurements, construction details, materials specifications, and grading rules, for all assigned styles. Collaborate with designers and product development teams to translate design concepts into production-ready specifications. Conduct garment fit sessions, analyze fit issues, and recommend pattern and construction adjustments to achieve desired fit and silhouette. Evaluate sample garments for quality, construction accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Communicate effectively with vendors and factories regarding technical specifications, fit comments, and production requirements. Maintain accurate records of all technical documentation, including pattern files, spec sheets, and fit history. Proactively identify and resolve potential production issues related to fit, construction, or quality. Stay up-to-date on the latest apparel industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Participate in product development meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical design processes. Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Minimum of [Number] years of experience as a Technical Designer in the apparel industry. Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, grading, and fit analysis. Proficiency in creating technical packages using industry-standard software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, Adobe Illustrator).
