About the role
Our client develops financial tools, applications, and workflows to help people find financial information, guidance, products, and tools to make informed financial decisions to meet their unique individual needs.
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated UX Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a strong individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, yet adaptable to shifting priorities, and able to work efficiently with quick iterative release cycles.
Main Responsibilities
- UI / UX Design work focused primarily on creating mockups and prototypes.
- All design work, mockups, and prototypes are done in Figma.
- Produce mockups and prototypes that Business stakeholders can take to vendors for approval.
- Understand and work closely with the Product Designer to know their vision and be able to act quickly.
- Have a Product focused mindset – this role is not just about making great-looking designs but understanding the business implications that inform effective designs for the client.
- Understand UI/UX design from a Business perspective and incorporate business logic into what you’re designing.
- Be on top of UX best practices and functionality, and be thinking about what happens when the member goes through the flows of web and mobile apps and how they interact/engage with the web and mobile apps.
- Be able to work effectively with minimal guidance and be able to take an idea from the Product Manager and run with it to turn it into a high-quality design.
Expectations - the experience you need
- Job Skills/Requirements:
- +90% English written and oral (at least C1 level) with excellent communication skills.
- Proven experience with lead forms, web pages, marketing pages, and mobile web design.
- Candidates will need to provide their portfolio.
- Must have 6 hours of overlap with the Pacific Time Zone.
- Strong design systems thinking and UX design best practices.
- Proven experience with Figma.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to collaborate and effectively interface with the Product Manager and various other stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be open to learning and proactive.
- Must be operational, organized, and efficient.
- Ability to take business requests and break them down into manageable steps to achieve a goal.
