Job Summary

Responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of all digital and traditional marketing and communications initiatives for DezLin Reveals. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this individual will oversee efforts to refine and align DezLin Reveals' brand identity throughout the organization in support of key company priorities, implement digital and traditional marketing research strategies, and enhance awareness of the company’s work and impact across Los Angeles and California.

Duties

  1. Develops and implements innovative marketing strategies that strengthen DezLin Reveals' brand positioning.
  2. Establishes measurement systems to evaluate the success of digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
  3. Oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting for marketing initiatives.
  4. Manages and optimizes marketing budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  5. Leads a high-performing marketing team, including hiring, training, and overseeing performance.
  6. Provides clear goals and impact metrics for the marketing team.
  7. Supports the planning and execution of DezLin Reveals' events and campaigns.
  8. Develops and executes digital communications, multimedia, and social media strategies to enhance outreach and engagement.
  9. Produces collateral materials, including the Annual Report and Impact Report.
  10. Establishes crisis communications strategies and action plans.
  11. Works with the Development and Technology teams to optimize the use of DezLin Reveals' CRM platform for data-driven engagement strategies.
  12. Provides strategic oversight for all marketing materials, ensuring consistency across channels.
  13. Cultivates and maintains strong media relationships and manages media inquiries.
  14. Fosters collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with marketing strategies.
  15. Guides an account management process that supports internal stakeholders while providing strategic marketing solutions.
  16. Oversees the development and execution of regional advertising and paid media campaigns.
  17. Manages the Marketing & Communications Department budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and a clear return on investment.
  18. Establishes key metrics to assess the impact of marketing efforts on DezLin Reveals' strategic and revenue goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  1. Manages and coordinates the work of direct reports, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  2. Performs supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including conducting interviews, hiring candidates, providing training, and evaluating employee performance.
  3. Plans, assigns tasks, and directs work, appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, and addresses complaints and resolves issues.
  4. This role manages 3-7 direct reports.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  1. 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  2. 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, publishing, and/or media relations, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  3. Proven experience in graphic design, social media management, social media analytics, and the development of comprehensive digital and traditional marketing plans.
  4. Skilled in utilizing social media analytics, market research, and data analytics to develop strategic messaging across various channels, including video, electronic media, and print.
  5. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business administration, or a related field required.
  6. Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
