Position Overview

As part of the talented Creative Services team at Mercury Marine, you will be critical in bringing big ideas to fruition from conception through completion, leading creative direction to deliver world-class content that exceeds the expectations of the initial client brief and positions Brunswick—and our technology products—as the leader in our industry.

Essential Functions

  1. Responsible for directing the development of visuals and messaging across a variety of marketing channels for complex technology-focused products.
  2. Develop a creative team structure that ensures responsibilities and resources are aligned with business needs.
  3. Help guide the creative team in identifying priorities for work based on business needs and team workload.
  4. Meet regularly with marketing leadership to manage upcoming initiatives for prioritization and creative workload projections.
  5. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  6. Guide and mentor creative team members to grow and develop their skills.
  7. Develop a deep understanding of our technology brands and how to convey their unique brand personalities across mediums.
  8. Assist and/or lead the search, selection process, and management of outside creative services contracted to work on projects as needed.
  9. Collaborate with marketing and other creative team members to optimize campaigns and content that support our brand synergies.
Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or Design OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Strong portfolio of creative work across multiple channels, including digital, print, and experiential.
  3. Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop creative talent.
  4. Exceptional conceptual skills with the ability to articulate creative concepts in meetings and presentations.
  5. Proficiency in developing creative for integrated marketing campaigns—with a heavy focus on digital.
  6. 7-10 years of experience in a creative role (with at least 2 years of leadership or management experience) with an advertising agency or in-house creative department.
  7. Must work well under pressure, exercising good judgment as well as good interpersonal skills.
  8. Experience overseeing internal and agency execution with the ability to clearly communicate creative direction.
  9. Must have a good grasp of project time requirements to be able to meet deadlines, client expectations, and avoid over-commitments.
  10. Consistent attention to detail.
Working Conditions

  • Hybrid – onsite in Fond du Lac 2 days a week.
