Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a golf enthusiast who is well-versed in social media trends and platform management. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and executing our social media strategy, engaging with our online community, and assisting in social content creation to enhance our brand presence.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and post on all Blue Tees Golf social media platforms using Hootsuite, including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  2. Engage with the social media community by responding to comments, liking posts, tagging appropriate businesses/products and staying up to date on current trends.
  3. Assist in writing engaging social media captions, incorporating trending hashtags and best practices.
  4. Tag products and locations in posts to maximize reach and engagement.
  5. Develop and maintain a monthly social media calendar.
  6. Stay informed on the latest social media trends.
  7. Assist the creative team during video and photo shoots by supporting content production needs.
  8. Work with the marketing creative team to capture, develop, and produce branded content used for social media.
  9. Participate in content reviews and brainstorming sessions to develop high-quality content.

Skills / Requirements

  1. Passion for and knowledge of golf is a must.
  2. Pursuing or just having completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  3. Up-to-date with all major social media platforms (X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn).
  4. Basic content creation skills, including familiarity with Canva, beginner-level Adobe Creative Suite or simple video editing tools.
  5. Comfortable using scheduling and management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
  6. Strong written communication skills with an understanding of social media tone and voice.
  7. Willingness to engage with online communities and interact with followers professionally.
  8. Awareness of current social media trends, with the ability to contribute ideas for engaging content.
  9. Basic understanding of social media analytics; able to pull performance reports.
  10. Ability to edit/audio mix and add music to basic social videos for profile/story posting.
  11. Ability to work autonomously and asynchronously with other teammates.

Education & Experience

  1. Prior experience in social media management, digital marketing, or brand engagement.
  2. Knowledge of golf-related content marketing strategies.
  3. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving digital landscape.
  4. Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling through digital platforms.
  5. Position is part time.
