LANDSCAPE DRAFTSPERSON/DESIGNER (2-4 years’ experience): (ONSITE ROLE)

Integrated design studio (IDS) is seeking a creative and motivated landscape draftsperson for a full-time job in our dynamic and growing landscape architecture firm. The ideal candidate will be graphically talented, technically savvy, highly organized, fluent at multitasking, and inspired to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is at the start of a growing career.

IDS is a full-service landscape architecture and site planning firm, with projects ranging from residential design to school campuses, wineries, and resorts. Our projects are located across the Bay Area and throughout the Western US and Mexico. Our office in Mill Valley, CA is home to a multidisciplinary design collaborative of architects, engineers, and designers. Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting Project Managers as needed for all phases of project design
  2. Drafting Construction/Permit documents and details in AutoCAD
  3. Creating 3D renderings (Sketchup & Lumion)
  4. Creating Planting and Irrigation Plans
  5. Developing Vegetation Management Plans
  6. Researching building codes, planning, and other permitting requirements
  7. Creating presentations using Adobe Creative Suite

Qualifications:

  1. Experience working in a landscape architecture office
  2. Experience with concept designs and planting plans
  3. Experience with construction documents
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite
  5. Knowledge of California plants and drought-tolerant, fire-safe, water-efficient standards (desired but not required)
  6. Desire to be part of an energetic collaborative team
  7. Clear communication skills

Required: applicants MUST be permanently permitted to work in the United States.

Educational requirements:

Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture required.

Pay commensurate with experience.
