About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs to lead its strategic efforts in elevating the institution's visibility, reputation, and public support. This executive role is pivotal in promoting the company's mission, achievements, and strategic priorities to a diverse range of internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive communication and marketing initiatives, including branding, student recruitment, fundraising, and media relations. As the chief spokesperson, the Vice President will also be at the forefront of crisis management and will be expected to foster relationships with key stakeholders, including government and community entities. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least ten years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, and public affairs. The role requires exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and expertise in crisis communications and media engagement. A strategic and creative thinker, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a professional team and be adept at planning and executing communication campaigns. Experience in higher education, fundraising, and alumni relations is a plus, as is familiarity with the local political landscape. The Vice President will also be responsible for team management, speechwriting, and executive support, and must be prepared to contribute to the company's mission and priorities in a dynamic and diverse academic environment.
