About the Role:

12 The Team: You will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious, and hard-working software professionals. The team is responsible for the architecture, design, development, quality, and maintenance of the real-time financial data web platform. Other responsibilities include transforming product requirements into Technical Design/ Implementation & writing technical requirements.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $113,350 to $190,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • Work within own other team as a lead and/or member on problems that have a broad impact within their business area.
  • Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups.

  • Lead developers building high-quality, high-performance, scalable code
  • Develop and monitor complex project plans
  • Provide guidance on routine to highly complex problems with broad impact
  • Solve non-routine to complex problems and determine the best solution through cost/benefit analysis.
  • Work on issues that impact design success or address future concepts, products or technologies.
  • Conduct technical walkthroughs and produce technical design documents of complex solutions.
  • Work with product stakeholders to understand and clarify requirements to design and develop industry-leading applications
  • Demonstrate solutions to product stakeholders
  • Onboard, support and mentor developers to design and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams on cross-platform/shared product functionality.
  • Complete SDLC: architecture, design, development, deployment support and maintenance
  • Active participation in all scrum ceremonies, follow Agile best practices effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience building web applications, preferably across the full tech stack. With primary concern being the UI tier and secondarily the service tier.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 - 10 developers.
  • Superior knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
  • Experience in client-side technologies like ReactJS, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and one or more service tier languages like C#, Java, C++ and SQL for data tier.
  • Web centric technologies like Webpack, unit testing frameworks like Jest and Mocha, Micro Front End.
  • Desirable technical skills (Nice to have): Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development. SAFe experience is a plus.
  • Active usage of Microsoft DevOps is preferable.
  • Proficiency in the development environment, including IDE, web & application server, GIT, Continuous Integration, unit-testing tool, and defect management tools.
  • Domain knowledge in Financial Industry and Capital Markets is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
